The North Coast Computer Project is a not for profit organisation that aims to supply a range of refurbished computers to the residents of the NSW North Coast. Particularly those residents whose income level otherwise prevents them from gaining adequate access to the technology and the range of opportunities it offers.
NCCP was originally started in Maclean as Clarence Valley Computer Project (CVCP) by Bernie Francis in 2003, when he realised there was little support locally for residents to access cheap technology. It has since evolved to occupy 3 locations in Maclean, Macksville and Grafton, and provides cheap computers, technical repairs and support, and local networking opportunites for lower income and the Indigenous persons of the Clarence Valley and surrounding areas.

As well as selling refurbished computers, North Coast Computer Project can also do repairs and maintenance on anyone’s computer. If you have a problem, give us a call or come in and see us and we can fix your machine. Prices vary for repairs, but are very reasonable to accomodate low income members of the community.

All computers are fully refurbished. We are a licensed Microsoft Authorised Refurbisher and will install only genuine Microsoft software on our computers. Each computer will include Microsoft Windows (2000 or XP), Microsoft Office 2003, Avast Antivirus, IZarc, Picasa3, Foxit Reader, PDF Creator, K-Lite Codec Pack, Internet Explorer 8, Google Chrome, and others. All software will be updated and configured. All computers come with a monitor, keyboard, mouse and power cords.
We can only accept up front payments, and the only available payment method is a cheque or money order. If you contact us we can hold a computer until you have the finances ready. An interest free advance payment may be available from Centrelink for approved applications. Visit your local Centrelink office for details.
